Kevin Smith

Founder and President

Kevin Smith is founder and president of Solutions Unlimited, LLC. Kevin attended Spartanburg High School followed by USC Upstate where he majored in Computer Science.  He has worked as an IT professional since 1993 and founded Solutions Unlimited, LLC in 1995 to serve clients in Spartanburg and surrounding Upstate.

Kevin is passionate about delivering client satisfaction and is constantly working to provide resourceful, accessible, informative experiences for each of his customers.

Kevin is proud to call Spartanburg his home and has lived here all of his life.  In his personal time he enjoys teaching Aikido and  camping with his family.


John Hassler

John Hassler

Technical Support Group Lead

John Hassler has been a technical support specialist with Solutions Unlimited since March 2008. John is a life-long resident of Spartanburg, SC, and attended Clemson University and USC Upstate receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in 2006.

John has enjoys technology and has a knack for taking laptops apart and doing hardware repair. Clients often commend that he is “very conscientious, always polite, and extremely persistent”, that he “follows through on issues to make sure they are resolved”, and “goes out of his way to make sure everything is working right for his clients”.

John has traveled to Germany and he also enjoys astronomy and astrophotography.

Dennis Miller heads our Marketing & our Web Design Services Team. He is from Spartanburg, SC and has been in and around the IT industry for many years. In addition to Marketing and Website Design, Dennis also oversees our Professional Photography and Advertising Services.


Scott Tidwell

Scott Tidwell

Technical Support Group

Scott began his career in the printing industry where he spent over eight years before moving into the I.T. field. A professional with ten plus years of experience in technical/IT support in manufacturing, warehouse and office environments. Some of his previous roles include plant manager, quality control supervisor, network and server administration, and desktop and phone support. He also brings his years of customer service from both the printing industry and I.T.

He has a BA of Fine Arts degree from Lander University and later obtained a Master of Industrial Education from Clemson University. He has a continued desire for learning and has since taken multiple computer classes and continues to expand on his technical knowledge.

When not working he enjoys being outdoors, exercise, artwork, art galleries, and studying Aikido.


Ryan Thompkins

Ryan Thompkins

Technical Support Group

Originally from Chicago Illinois, Ryan now lives in Greenville.  Ryan worked in the health care IT field for 2 years as a desktop support analyst before joining the SUI team.  Ryan is is a sponge for knowledge and is passionate about helping clients with any issues.

He's earned industry certifications including CompTIA A+, and is working on earning his Net+ and Security+ certifications.  He is Apple Certified and LOVES everything Apple / Mac related.

Ryan is active in his Church leading Bible Studies and he plays basketball most evenings -- GO DUKE!  He's a husband and father to a beautiful young family.
